ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (AEP)
Steele Heights is pleased to announce that we will continue to offer the Academic Enrichment program in the 2024-25 school year.
The Academic Enrichment program may go to Random Selection if we have more applicants than space available.
Academic Enrichment offers Grades 7–9 students challenging academic experiences by deepening their learning in the core subjects of Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts and Social Studies. It helps prepare junior high students for academic programming in high school, including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate (I.B.). How to be a successful student in this program
- Be enrolled in Grades 7 to 9
- Demonstrate self-motivation, interdependence, life-long learning, positive attitude
- Enjoy a challenge, be motivated to learn, enjoy finding solutions and synthesizing information all while being independent and responsible learners
- Parental support and commitment are encouraged
- Progress reports should indicate high proficiency and exemplary grades
- Elementary school recommendation is positive and indicates the student will be successful
